Hello, ya'll!  I began this blog back in 2010 as a way to share recipes & it's quickly becoming so much more.  Here are some of the very exciting accomplishments, that are making up this journey.

December 2011: My Butter Brownies were featured in our local Memphis paper, The Commercial Appeal

November 2011:  Thanksgiving Leftovers Cooking demo at Whole Foods Poplar.  Honored that Memphis Flyer added us to their list of blogs they like.

September 2011:  Honored to be featured on Memphis's #1 blog, I Love Memphis.  365 Days of Memphians & we were 272

August 2011:  "Back to School" Cooking demo at Whole Foods Poplar.  Featuring Country Cornbread Casserole, where a classic side is turned into an family friendly meal, everyone will enjoy.

July/August 2011: Our classic southern recipes with a twist, are being featured on Miss Jenny's Pickles website.  Come on over & check out what we did with their delectable pickles.

July 2011: We were featured on America's Test Kitchen for our Forester Potato Salad recipe.

April 2011: We were featured on the Southern Food Network, for our Country Cornbread Casserole

March 2011:  Christy Jordan from Southern Plate joined us via Skyke for a special Supper Club Event where we featured various recipes from her cookbook.  We spent more than 3 hours chatting with her & her precious kids, Brady & Katie Rose.  It was an evening no southern foodie gal could ever forget.

Sept 2010:  My husband & I formed a local Supper Club here in Memphis, called Memphis D.I.S.H. (Dining in Southern Homes).  Our main goal is to emphasis cooking with fresh local ingredients.  And it's the perfect excuse to get together with friends & family to share a meal one a month.  We do special events from time to time, where we feature cookbook authors, like Christy Jordan.  Our next featured author will be announced soon, so stay tuned!!

  1. I'm always looking for Memphis area food bloggers. So glad I found you!
Is Memphis DISH open to the public, or do you have your group established? I bake more than I cook, but I enjoy posting to my blog. I'll be following you in my google reader.

Would love to know what you think, please feel free to let me know you stopped by. Big Southern hugs!!!
